Chess club is a termly sign up with weekly attendance.

Lessons are tailored to the strength of children attending, so you will always be taught what is best for you!
Chess club is a termly sign up with weekly attendance.
The focus of the lessons is learning and improving the game of chess along with play and fun activities.
Structure of each lesson as follows:
- 10-15 minutes - arrivals and chess puzzle - fun activity discussing solution of complex chess puzzle and warming up for the lesson
- 30 minutes - formal lesson on chess strategy, openings, end games, positional play, etc.
- 45-60 minutes - juniors playing chess games
Membership includes
- Attendance for every lesson during the school term (including half-term and term holidays, except Summer holiday)
- Participation in any events organised by the chess club (Grandmaster simultaneous exhibitions, Club tournaments, etc.)
- Participation in the club's online team
- Opportunity to participate in the Main 4NCL Online
- Opportunity to participate in the Junior 4NCL Online
- Opportunity to participate in the Kent County Chess Association League
- Online access to lessons content if the student misses any of the classes
- Regular update on progress as well as annual performance report
- Monitoring of online games including 1 (one) game analysis by the instructor per month
